Marcus Smart Leads the Cowboys to a Thanksgiving Victory

Thanksgiving morning, the first cold day in central Florida all year and I have get out of my cozy bed. A brisk 49 degrees tip toeing, around the house not to wake up the Josh (my dog, Josh Rondo Durant). We take the journey to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex to watch the 2013 Old Spice Classic; the first game is Purdue vs. #5Oklahoma St.
Now I haven't really been following college basketball but I do like a good game. Marcus Smart is the rising star of the team cutting the D into shreds like Logan in his WWII days along side Captain America played by Markel Brown. Brown was the fire starter for the Cowboys getting the first couple of points with a lay up and free throws. Smart had 24 of his 30 points in th  #5Oklamhoma St. leads 52-29.
e first half. Purdue got into some early foul trouble sending Smart to the line 6 times in the first half alone.

The second half started off bumpy for Oklahoma St. they were unable to get the lid off the basket what seemed like forever which actually were no more than 2 minuets. After getting into some late foul trouble he had to sit back and watch as Purdue made a slight come back getting the fans stomping their feet. Purdue is within 8 after a big 3-point shot and a little under 6 minutes left in the half Oklahoma St. takes a time out. Ronnie Johnson of Purdue and Markel Brown are then hit with a technical foul. It took a while but the Captain had returned to get the Cowboys back in the game starting off with a couple free throws made and awesome block on the defensive end. Then it was all up hill for the Cowboys as they win the game 97-87 a combined 55 points from Markel Brown and Marcus Smart.

Tim Tebow Everything

Ok we all remember last season when Tebow took the Broncos to the playoffs right? This season, well not so much. After spending most of the season on the sidelines 6 for 8 behind center and 32 yards behind the quarter back as a running back. This personally is sickening to me. Tim Tebow is a quarter back thats what he was hired for, Not according to the people of the NFL they don't think very highly of poor Tim. Since Tim has enter the NFL he has been the butt of jokes (even after Sanchez made this a literal thing for himself), told that he can't throw and been in every side show you can think of. Lets not talk about how Elway threw him to the wolves of the NY Jets or how Rex Ryan put him in a corner for the whole season. No. Let's talk about his next move. Sanchez has a guaranteed $10 million so of course the Jets are going to stay with Sanchez because its hard to sell the worst quarter back in the league with price tag of $10 million. The Jacksonville Jaguars could possibly pick up Tebow with their new found owner, Kahn at the helm anything is possible. In the past the Jaguars have passed on Tebow two other times knowing that the home grown Jacksonville native would sell seats they passed on him in the draft and during the "Manning situation". This will be Jacksonville's 3rd chance at Tebow. In my opinion they should take him and PLAY him. Not put him there to say you have him, or make plays that are really just wildcats for him to run and be a running back verses being a quarter back.
Let's talk pros and cons of have Tebow on the Jaguars:
Cons:
Tebow needs a lot of development at the quarter back position. We all know this his accuracy is off a lot of times. He either over throws or under throw receivers.
Tebow is a run first quarter back. Yes we have all seen Tebow bowl over multiple defenders to get in the end zone during tight situations, but he also runs when he has open receivers.
Unfortunately for Tebow a lot of players do not like him at the position of the quarter back and would not like to see him fill the position (this may also be the reason for the dropped passes), so the chemistry in the locker room will take some REAL Kumbaya sitting around the fire forced friendships which over paid (or in Jacksonville's case under paid) player are not about at all.
Then there's Maurice Jones-Drew. He is the leading rusher and the main rusher in the Jaguars camp. This season Mojo managed to hold out the whole pre-season waiting for contract negotiation that never happen, in attempt to get more money. Adding Tebow to this equation mean less touches for Mojo, but then again the league is kind of not a RBs game like it used to be. (besides, he was injured for the season after holding out so long)
Pros:
Seats. The Jacksonville Jaguars are known for their low fan count and even lower seat fills they NEED something different.
Quarter back situation in Jacksonville. Currently its up in the air. The Jags drafted Blaine Gabbert dropped David Garrad and put Blane in the driver seat, he failed. Now they have Chade Henne a former Dolphin at quarter back and well lets just say he's not winning games. Tebow took a team to the playoff, and the fans wanna see some light.
Tebow is a work-a-holic he is there before everyone and stays late. So if you work with him he will work for you.
Even with Tebow's current stats no as flashy as even the lowest of low (cough cough Sanchez) he still manages to get the team going to win games. If they are able to either pick up a veteran quarter back to help develop Tim's precision or develop short pass plays to make it work in his favor they will be a formable team in the AFC.
Final thought:
Take Tebow. Keep Henne as second string. Right now your backs are to the wall Jaguars. Rebuild around Tebow you have already gotten rid of the old general manager and the head coach. Pick up a coach that’s willing to teach Tebow and go to work. Fans are willing to walk away bring Tebow in sell tickets do a few Kumbayas and get over it.
